Then recently (or perhaps not so recently), your role took on a larger scope, with more responsibility, and suddenly…you found yourself floundering for the first time.

There's no doubt, you're a hard worker.
You’re driven to over-perform at work to prove yourself, but you keep people at arms’ length because a part of you is afraid you’ll be “found out”. You say things like, “Do my colleagues take me seriously?” and “I used to be so great at my job – why do I feel like an imposter now? What happened?!” You wonder why your team doesn’t trust you - but here’s the thing:

MANY OF US (MYSELF INCLUDED) GREW UP IN FAMILIES WHERE "WORK" WASN'T DISCUSSED AS MORE THAN A MEANS TO AN END.
A job was seen as something you did to put food on the table, not an outlet to fulfill your ambitions and dreams – and certainly nothing as lofty as giving you a “purpose”. And while there’s nothing wrong with honorable work, this mindset left us lacking the tools to imagine what a job could mean not just for our wallets, but for our lives (futures, hearts, souls, etc).
Call center operator, paralegal, events director, corporate admin, trainer, learning & development specialist – and I was lucky to eventually find work I loved.
But one idea often comes to me…
In my own "job journey", I've run the gambit of roles...
WHAT COULD I HAVE DONE, BEEN, AND IMAGINED IF I HAD PARTNERED WITH A COACH EARLIER IN MY CAREER?
IF I HAD EVEN KNOWN THAT "COACHING" WAS A THING PEOPLE DID. WHAT COULD I HAVE CREATED? HOW MUCH BIGGER WOULD I HAVE DREAMED?
INSIDE EVERY COMPANY TODAY, FROM LARGE CORPORATIONS TO SMALL BUSINESSES, THERE ARE PEOPLE JUST LIKE YOU ASKING THAT SAME QUESTION:
And every single one of those people is doing their best to lead teams and projects authentically, but too many company cultures send the message :
What might I create? What is my dream? What is my purpose? How do I lead?
   LEAVE THE PERSONAL STUFF AT HOME - THERE'S NO PLACE FOR THAT HERE.YOUR VULNERABILITY, YOUR LEARNING, IT MAKES US UNCOMFORTABLE. JUST CLOCK YOUR HOURS AND DON'T MAKE A FUSS.
